27 May 2021: The Takuwani Riime Men’s Movement in partnership with Gauteng Social Development Men’s Forum, One Roof Foundation, National Family Foundation of SA, cordially invites you to the Takuwani Riime media launch to introduce Ebuhlanti TV Men’s Dialogue Season 2, The Social, Thetha Nam, Talk with Dr. David Molapo and Family Matters TV programmes.
The Takuwani Riime Men’s Movement convened the National Men’s Parliament in partnership with the National Council of Provinces at the National Assembly in November 2020. The assembly was presided by the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Hon. Lechesa Tsenoli and Deputy Chairperson of the NCOP Hon. Ms Sylvia Lucas resolved to strengthen #MenChampioningChange and various other programmes that address the role of men in response to social challenges with a special focus on men’s health and wellness, street champions, rights of the LGBTIQA+ community, Gender-Based Violence and Femicide and HIV prevention.
Following the launch, and sustainability of the Men’s Parliaments - the Boys Assembly, Men’s Dialogues, Men’s Lounges and various community-based activities, the Takuwani Riime media launch is established to utilise social and media platforms supported by the One Roof Foundation, National Family Foundation of South Africa and Azali Health Care as the SANAC Men’s Sector Secretariat to reach a wider audience to address the role of men in the social determinants of health and social behavioural change- particularly in combating HIV and GBVF and to unpack the underlying issues to define a clear Programme of Action for men as champions of change.
