The Ministry of Social Development, in line with the Ministerial Handbook, is charged with rendering professional administrative and support services to the Executing Authority. Which services include: 

• Policy and strategic advice to the Executive Authority,
• Stakeholder management and mobilization,
• International liaison and coordination, with an emphasis on Africa and the developing world,
• Drafting, editing and coordinating Minister’s policy statements and speeches,
• Coordinating and processing Cabinet, Parliamentary and MINMEC processes in liaison with the Offices of the Deputy Minister and Director General,
• Administration and management of private office.
