I am honoured this morning to be afforded an opportunity to be grace this occasion and further serve as the mouthpiece on behalf of the Minister of Social Development, Ms Bathabile Dlamini, who cannot attend today’s event as a result of other government related responsibilities.

The National Department of Social Development (Pretoria) is offering an internship programme for the 2012/2013 financial year in the Pretoria centre (National Office).

Dlamini to reassure vulnerable children that South Africa cares Print E-mail

Minister of Social Development, Ms Bathabile Dlamini, will host orphaned and vulnerable children between the ages of 12 and 22 whom she interacted with during her visits to different provinces during the year.
Some of these children are heading their own households after being orphaned due to the HIV and AIDS pandemic. These children continue to survive under difficult circumstances and are using wisely the resources that the Department gives them, including social grants.
Others are making the best out of their situation against all odds.
