The Department of Social Development will host a virtual Webinar focusing on Reporting on Children. The Webinar emanates from concerns around programming on children and a lack of children’s voice in the media.

The Webinar will look at variety of issues which includes:

• Child ethics of reporting on children
• Issues of reporting about children as victims or using stereotypes
• Encourage media to respect the rights of children and their dignity when reporting
• Encourage media to give children a voice in their coverage
