Minister Dlamini to visit Ngobi Village for Monitoring and Evaluation |

Media Advisory In June this year President Zuma visited the Ngobi Village, North West province, as a response to the community outcry for service delivery and to open a South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) office. During the Presidential visit, Minister for Social Development, Ms Bathabile Dlamini, promised to visit Ngobi village to engage the community on the progress made on the identified socio-economic challenges.
To this end, Minister Dlamini will visit Ngobi Village to evaluate progress made on developmental challenges identified during the President’s Monitoring Programme. During her visit, Minister Dlamini will visit a number of households which were identified for urgent and continuous social assistance by the Department of Social Development.
The visit forms part of the Social Development Month which takes place annually during October. During Social Development Month the Department of Social Development visits areas that are poor and underdeveloped with the aim of engaging these communities to find solutions to their challenges, including livelihood and socio-economic problems.
The Ngobi Village visit will take place as follows:
