

MINISTER DLAMINI TO DELIVER SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT'S BUDGET VOTE IN PARLIAMENT |

The Minister of Social Development, Ms Bathabile Dlamini, will on Thursday, May 25, table Budget Vote 17 of the Department of Social Development in the National Assembly, Old Assembly Chambers at 16:00 in the Old Assembly. The budget vote will outline plans and budget allocations for the department and its entities – South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) and National Development Agency (NDA) for the current financial year and over the Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF). Following a number of violent and hate crimes against Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersexual and Queer (LGBTIQ) people throughout the country, Minister Dlamini has dedicated the year 2017 to dealing with the issues of LGBTIQ community.
