Media Advisory

Minister of Social Development, Ms Bathabile Dlamini, will attend and address the closing ceremony of the Child Protection Week campaign. The Minister will call on individuals, families, communities and civil society to join hands in promoting and protecting the rights of children.

This is in accordance with the Children’s Act, which advocates for the care and protection of children as well as definition of parental responsibilities and rights.

The Child Protection Week is aimed at tackling challenges facing children which include child abuse, human trafficking and teenage pregnancy.
