Minister of Social Development, Mrs Edna Molewa will on Monday 22 February 2010, launch a Toolkit for Community Development Practitioners as part of government‘s support to the local government turn around strategy. The toolkit provides guideline for community development practitioners to fast-track and effectively facilitates community development work using the Sustainable Livelihoods Approach.

Among other things the toolkit will help practitioners and communities to identify appropriate interventions to improve their livelihoods as well as undertake participatory monitoring and evaluation process. As part of the launch, about 40 young people trained on Sustainable Livelihood Approach and Community Profiling will be presented with certificates.
