Social Development Minister Edna Molewa will tomorrow, 29 October 2009, deliver a closing address at the national Golden Games for older persons at the Nelson Mandela University stadium in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape.The games for this year started on 27 October 2009, under the theme “Active Ageing”.

The project was launched in 2006 in partnership with the Departments of Sports and Recreation, and Health. The overall aim is to enhance the quality of life and improve health of older persons by engaging them in programmes which promote optimal level of social, physical, mental and well being.
